UK Holocaust Memorial Competition Exhibits Finalist Entries

In November, 2016, Allied Works was selected as a finalist for the forthcoming United Kingdom Holocaust Memorial in London. The project is the culmination of years of advocacy, planning and fundraising by the Holocaust Memorial Foundation; it will be the capstone of an ongoing effort to document and record testimony from the remaining survivors of the Holocaust throughout the UK. The Memorial and an adjacent Learning Centre will be located in Victoria Tower Gardens, immediately south of the Houses of Parliament along the River Thames. Finalist proposals are currently on exhibit in London, and a winning scheme will be announced later this year. Continue reading

Belluschi’s Oregonian Building Given New Lease on Life

Dormitory project for EF Academy in New York nears completion

Allied Works’ residence hall for EF (Education First) Academy, the international private boarding school, is nearing completion in Thornwood, New York. The residence hall is the first new building in a larger campus master plan, developed in collaboration with Allied Works, which is transforming a former corporate training facility into an academic campus. Case Work Opens at the Portland Art Museum

On June 4th, Allied Works’ first major exhibition, Case Work: Studies in Form, Space and Construction, opened at the Portland Art Museum, following a three-month run at the Denver Art Museum. Previews and Openings Planned for the National Music Centre of Canada

This fall marks the completion of Allied Works’ most ambitious project to date, Studio Bell, home of the National Music Centre, in Calgary, Alberta. With 160,000 s.f. of new construction and a complete rehabilitation of the historic, 1905 King Edward Hotel, the NMC will provide space for performances, recording, broadcast, exhibition and interactive education programs. Local audiences will be able to preview the new cultural center beginning in July, with a formal opening and inauguration in October of this year. Continue reading

Allied Works creates new packaging and identity for Sokol Blosser "#4"

Following the completion of their new Tasting Room and Visitor Center, which opened in 2013, Allied Works and Sokol Blosser Winery embarked on a new collaboration: the design of a limited release of their finest 2012 Pinot Noir, available only to club members of their 100-acre estate and vineyards in Oregon’s Dundee Hills.
